History in the making – but don’t start jumping up and down with excitement just yet because the new half-pipe looks like this:
There’s Roger the delivery man from Palletways struggling to budge the load. He said he didn’t speak much English. Well he learned a few choice words from me when he arrived just as I was about to open, coincidentally the heavens did the same.
I told him to back up round Gotham – behind the Triangle shops – not somewhere you want to be when the sun goes down. 

It took three of us to get the pallet off the wagon. Roger couldn’t hide his relief at getting shot of that lot – more choice words from me as I was left alone with this:

Good job Mr. Stainzy arrived when he did to help bring the larger pieces inside.

Now we have to let it dry out for a bit, then we can treat it with a preservative while we wait for the council to respond to our enquiries.
Hopefully we can get this thing up and in use very soon!
