Looking for an online UK skate shop that isn’t a massive chain ripping out the value our of independent skater owned shops?
An online skate shop which you can support and know it helps the skating community directly, we welcome you to Sk8 or Die!
Having as local shop really helps understand the skating community and really drives forward the ambition to be the best, all whilst maintaining that personal touch.
Since we were kids knocking about the block in late 80’s, we had big ideas of one-day providing a skate shop, the ownership part wasn’t even a big deal, just a place where we could get and sell cool gear to all our mates. 40 years later it’s arrived, with the same ethos.
The skate shop will either do well or struggle with the times, but whatever, it’ll be there for the community for as long as possible. Without relying on the shop for our income, it’s simply a top-up for us. A bonus on top of the hard work put in elsewhere in daily jobs.
Nobody looks to create a skate-shop in the UK and think it’ll make them decent money, it’s out of pure love for the industry as a whole, the history, it’s nostalgia and the future opportunities. So any support is appreciated, not only by us, but by the people in the South West that use the shop.
Long may it last.
Why support an independent skate shop in the UK?
The short answer is that we give back to the community. We provide access to skaters locally, enabling them to pick and choose from the very latest designs from the leading brands. We also provide equipment and have donated to our district council a £5k half-pipe for all to freely use.
We engage at a personal level, not from a distant sales office. We’re providing that experience that many of us had back in the 80’s of going to a shop packed full of the most amazing products, adding nostalgia to your purchase. It’s that very nostalgia that has driven Sk8 or Die to become a major brand in the industry.
